In addition to hand washing, masks and physical distancing, receiving an influenza vaccine in a previous year and in the current year is the best protection against influenza.

Flu shot vaccine update for the 2021/2022 season

The North Durham Family Health Team in collaboration with Medical Associates of Port Perry will continue providing regular and high dose flu shots to patients on a walk-in basis. You are welcome to come to the Central Nursing office in suite 108 of the North Durham Health Centre without an appointment between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Physicians’ offices will also be providing flu shots to those patients attending an appointment.

Anyone 6 months old and older is eligible. Please wear a short-sleeved shirt and a mask and bring your health card.  Everyone is asked to pre-screen for COVID-19 related symptoms before entering the building, using the signs at the entrance doors.

Please note: Flu shot administration will be subject to the availability of the vaccine and changes may occur due to supply distributions.
