* Flu Shot recommended yearly for children 6 months and older

Pediacel (DPTP-Hib): Diptheria, Polio, Tetanus, Petussis (Whooping Cough) and Hemophyllis Influenza type B
Prevnar 13: Provides protection against meningitis, pneumonia and blood infections caused by Pneumococcus
Rotateq: Rotavirus vaccination is for prevention of gastroenteritis (stomach virus)
MMR: Measles, Mumps, Rubella MMRV: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella
Menjugate: Meningococcal C Conugate provides protection against meningitis caused by Meningococcus type C
Varivax: Varicella (Chicken Pox vaccine)
Adacel Polio: Diptheria, Polio, Tetanus, Petussis (Whooping Cough)

Note: There are additional vaccinations recommended that are NOT covered currently by the OHIP schedule but are covered by some drug plans.

Meningococcal B vaccine (Bexsero): (DIN#02417030) cost – $140 per dose
Protection against meningitis caused by Meningococcus type B

Menveo: DIN#02347393 cost – $150 per dose
Protection against meningitis caused by Meningococcus type A, C, Y, W135

Immunizations Given By Public Health in schools:

Grade 7 – Hepatitis B, 2 doses
Grade 8 – Gardasil HPV vaccine, 2 doses
Menactra (quadravalent Meningococcal A, C, Y, and W), 1 dose
