* Flu Shot recommended yearly for children 6 months and older

Pediacel (DPTP-Hib):    Diptheria, Polio, Tetanus, Petussis (Whooping Cough) and Hemophyllis Influenza type B
Prevnar 13:                    Provides protection against meningitis, pneumonia and blood infections caused by Pneumococcus
Rotateq:                         Rotavirus vaccination is for prevention of gastroenteritis (stomach virus)
MMR:                              Measles, Mumps, Rubella
MMRV:                            Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella
Menjugate:                    Meningococcal C Conugate provides protection against meningitis caused by Meningococcus type C
Varivax:                          Varicella (Chicken Pox vaccine)
Adacel Polio:                 Diptheria, Polio, Tetanus, Petussis (Whooping Cough)

There are additional vaccinations recommended that are NOT covered currently by the OHIP schedule but are covered by some drug plans.

Meningococcal B vaccine – Protection against meningitis caused by Meningococcus type B
Bexsero (DIN#02417030) for infants and older
Trumenba (DIN# 02468751) – age 10-25yo, better coverage than Bexsero

Quadrivalent Meningococcal vaccine – Protection against meningitis caused by Meningococcus type A, C, Y, W135
– Menveo: (DIN#02347393) cost (recently not available)
– Nimenrix: (DIN# 02402904)
