Registered Respiratory Therapist (RT)

The North Durham Family Health Team is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RT) with a passion for patient education. The ideal candidate will have experience as an asthma and COPD educator.


  • Graduate of an accredited college or university with the Respiratory Therapist designation
  • Registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario (CRTO)
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
  • Experience with EMR (Telus Practice Solutions preferred)
  • Experience working with patients of all ages
  • Experience (or awareness) of rural health care is an asset
  • Certified respiratory educator (CRE) designation as asset
  • Evidence of liability insurance

Job Function:

  • Support patient care and delivery of Healthy Lung programs
  • Performing and interpreting spirometry
  • Treating cardiopulmonary disorders including symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties/interactions and preventative care measures
  • Chronic disease management and adult education
  • Teaching and training other team members

Ultrasound Sonographer – P/T + F/T

Qualifications Include:

  • Successful completion of a recognized Canadian Sonography Accredited Institution
  • Active credential with Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS
  • CMRTO (registration required by January 1, 2019)

We require sonographers that can perform at full competency in the following categories:

  • General, Breast, Obstetrics (NT license) , Vascular , MSK
    *Breast and Obstetrics are a requirement however, experience in additional categories would be an asset

What You Bring:
–  5+ years experience performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations

  • Attention to detail, critical thinking and problem solving-solving skills
  • The ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with all members of your healthcare team
  • A focus on delivering quality and safe care to patients, clients, and their families
  • Above average written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer knowledge and software proficiency is required
  • Experience with Velox is an asset

Medical Associates of Port Perry is seeking an energetic, organized individual to provide excellent service to our patients including answering telephone calls, scheduling appointments and handling other administrative tasks in our busy medical office.
